Chris Stockton is a returning driver in the 2014 BTCC Season.[1] Stockton has appeared in the BTCC before, having originally debuted at Brands Hatch in 2006.

Current Season[]

Stockton made his return to the BTCC driving a Chevrolet Cruze 4dr for Power Maxed Racing.[2] However, his return was soured by a collision in race two at Brands Hatch, preventing him from finishing that race and starting the following one, meaning his 26th place in race one is his best finish so far.[1]

Background[]

Stockton's career began in Formula Ford in the late 1990s, before beginning an association with TVR that would ultimately see him compete in the Le Mans 24 hours in 2004.[3] This was followed by a season in the British GT Championship in 2005, before stepping up to the BTCC in 2006.[3]

Return[]

Stockton was set to return to the BTCC in 2012, driving for Thorney Motorsport's Vauxhall Insignia, although illness prevented him from competing.[3] In 2014, BTC Racing, competing under their sponsor Power Maxed Racing, decided to return to the BTCC, taking Stockton with them.[2]
